Youth Volunteer of the Year is designed to honour the young people of Conception Bay South who, through their unpaid contributions have helped make the Town of Conception Bay South a better place to live. Queen Elizabeth Regional High will be having their annual Holiday Concert on December 5th, at 7pm in the school gymnasium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the school or at the door. On November 24, Queen Elizabeth Regional High will be hosting the second annual Christmas at QE craft and trade fair. Operation Christmas Child is a program by the nonprofit organization Samaritan’s Purse where you can send a shoebox filled with gifts to children in need around the world who might otherwise not receive anything for Christmas. We will be giving out boxes at school and you can even use a normal shoebox.
Things to remember:
Queen Elizabeth’s breakfast program is in real need of parent/grandparent and community volunteers. The program is one of the best in the district but it really relies on parents to help the school deliver healthy snacks to our students three times a week.
