The Queen Elizabeth Holiday Concert 2011 will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 7pm in the School Gymnasium. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased from any Choir, Glee or Band student or at the door. Due to the adverse weather conditions, the Parent-Teacher Conferences scheduled for Thursday, November 24th are now postponed to Thursday, December 1st from 1-4 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. There are no appointments for these conferences. The Queen Elizabeth Boys Volleyball Team went undefeated in the regional qualifier for 4A provincials. They will be playing in the provincial championships Dec 2-3 in Grand Falls-Windsor. On Wednesday Nov 2, the students attended a panel discussion about opportunities for women in mining. The forum was followed by a networking luncheon where the students were able to mingle with the women from the panel. No appointments are necessary. We look forward to seeing you on the 24th. From Sept 27th to Oct 1st, 2011, 4 students from QueenE attended the CSLC in Corner Brook. These Pioneers were among 1100 young people from across the country who were eager to strengthen their leadership skills. At CSLC, student leaders had the opportunity to attend keynote lectures delivered by well-known Canadians such as Gen. Rick Hillier, [more...] Students participated in the Annual Healthy Commotions Day on Wednesday, October 12th. Students participated in 23 FREE fun activities. The morning was jammed full of boys vs. girl competitions ranging from rubber chicken relays to competitions using hula hoops.
